Victory Trinity Lutheran Church

Our Beliefs

.

We the members of Victory Trinity Lutheran Church believe it is our mission and purpose to worship God, witness to God, serve God, love all God’s people and build community. We strive to do this according to the teaching of Martin Luther and his confessions of faith. These confessions promote God as a gracious father who shows his mercy by forgiving all our sin as He gave His only Son, the Savior Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross. It is out of our sincere gratitude to our gracious God and His Son Jesus that we do our best to be God’s people by following the teachings and example of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our worship revolves around Word and Sacrament. This means that our worship focuses heavily of the Word of God as found in the Bible and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion where the bread and wine are received which carry with them the presence of Jesus. In our worship we encourage the participation of all those who are gathered for worship through Prayer, singing, giving, and receiving the Sacrament. Then we believe God sends us out into the world to tell all people about our faith in God, to serve people in need and care for those who are suffering spiritually or emotionally. You can see by the list of our Community Activities that we seek to help people who are hungry, homeless, poor, and sick and to give comfort and pastoral care to those who suffer from personal hurts. We believe these ministries are a big portion of the mission God calls us to do. Finally, we work to build a loving, caring and welcoming community of faith that truly is open to all people. We gather frequently for social and fellowship times outside of worship because we enjoy the companionship of our fellow church members but are forever looking to include others in our fellowship. We hope that you will feel welcome to come along side us in all we do.
